Chart House Restaurant - Daytona Beach - (386) 255-9022

This "fine dining" establishment was a huge disappointment on my son's prom night. With 7:00pm reservations, their group was not seated until 8:00pm and service was VERY SLOW. My son, his date and their friends did not even have time to eat by the time the food finally arrived at 9:30!! -- they had to take their meals in to go containers or they would have completely missed the prom. For the price $$$, portions were disappointingly small. $42 for a meal that doesn't even come with a salad. Not worth it for the money, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

We make sure that this is one of the places we go when we visit. We enjoy dressing up a little occasionally and this is one of the few places where we don't feel out of place. The seafood is consistent and good. A little pricey but the ambiance makes it worthwhile.

The Chart House is fairly well known for it's business environment, seafood, and scenery. It is a great place for a birthday or any special occasion. It is a bit pricy, but the salad bar has an unusual and pleasing selection. The Chocolate Lava Cake is a treat not to be missed. The Halifax River location could use a bit of updating, it seems to have a 1980's feel to the decor.
