I'm an engineer (BS in Aerospace Engineering), so my outlook on things is often from that perspective, but that's only half of it. Spirituality is important to me as well, and I don't believe that science and spirituality are opposing forces. I'm a writer too, usually short stories and poems, and mostly science fiction and fantasy related. Most of what I read (fictional things) comes from those genres too. Besides fiction, I write programs and web pages sometimes too.

I'm not into bars and related things, but I love spending time with and doing things with friends. I'm very loyal to people I care about and I like helping them in whatever ways I can. I'm a gamer, usually online because I prefer playing with (or against) real people instead of computer-controlled characters. I've also found that it allows me to get to know people (even if only a little bit) from all over the world. 3 things I feel some may wonder about -

1. Age doesn't really make a difference to me.
2. Distance is not really a big deal, but I think within two hours of me would be nice.

I have been on this site along with two others and have not really found anything worth wile. I believe somewhere out there is a person who will love me the same way I love them. Like most profiles let me get some things out of the way. I am divorced, and have been for about 4 years now. I recently moved to Daytona Beach, Florida. I am told I am funny and I guess I have to agree with that with all the tears of laughter I have seen in my life. I love to have fun, I can sit at home watch some tv with someone I care for and be content. But I also love to be active. Now if you are looking for someone to sit down and read the bible with you at the table im sorry but that is not me. When I know your moving, you donâ??t ask me to help because I have already asked when I can be there. After a long day of work you may come home to a warm bath and a back rub. I know itâ??s sappy, but I do live my life like this. I see nothing wrong with making others happy in the world. Ok time to â??man upâ??, I also snow board. Nothing liking jumping from helicopter out atop a white capped mountain. I also used to do Muay Thai kick boxing, with a few ring fights under belt. I love to drive off road. Of course mudding out here is new to me. But 120 mph in wash outâ??s of the deserts in Cali is great! I mountain bike which seems to be kind of hard in Florida lol, but we will see.
As you can see I am an all around kind of person. I can do anything from body board when the waves are big enough. To snow board and end in the desert at 120 mph. Iâ??m good on the couch watching TV, or going to the beach for a walk. I donâ??t live for the moment, but who can resist a good smile.
What do I want out of life? Well I want the dream, a family happy and healthy. I am currently working 40 hours a week and about to get a 2nd job to kill off some debt from school and such. Along with that I am working on two business here in Florida. Which lets cross the fingers make me rich!!!! Want to know who I am, we all dream of being rich right? And when you are doing something that really can make you rich you dream a little more often. My dream arenâ??t of where I will go in life, but where I can take my friends, and family when I am rich. Someone once asked me what I would do if I won the lotto. I said, buy a house, buy a car and make sure everyone of my family, and my friends families are all taken care of.

So hard to describe myself online. It is almost more fun to discover on our own. You could find me extremely dull or extremely complicated (so I've been told). I feel like a very simple woman. Mathematically I'm an engineering student (physically I am too but that's more of a location thing), but at heart I'm a hopelessly romantic art student with an inability to do anything artistic particularly well (though I can play a few different woodwinds). I'm a crazy liberal atheist from Massachusetts trapped in Florida with a plethora of conservative types, and a penchant for political discussion (I'm also the staunchest support of gay marriage I know who's actually straight). My schedule is crazy, I work four nights a week as a bartender and I am looking to pick up a couple more shifts. Supporting my self and my daughter is a top priority and with the economy being what it is I am not one to turn down a shift if called into work at the last minute. I'm saying this because I will back out of plans if I get work and you should know that up front and that it's not personal.

I'm definitely a one guy kind of girl but being a bartender I can and do flirt my ass off. A girl has to make a living. If you can't handle that or if you are going to lurk around my work scowling everytime a guy flirts with me then we're going to have a problem. Jealousy is never attractive and while I may push that envelope to the very edge I never cross the line.

I've been divorced for about a year and still keep in touch with the ex. We parted friends even though the marriage didn't work.

I am going back to school with the goal bein a masters in writing. I wont be with someone who stands in the way of my goals and hopes for myself and my daughter or has any kind of issues with chemical dependency. If you do drugs keep going. I have one child, I won't be my man's mother.

What am I looking for? Hmm, interesting question. You have to be smart. Not necessarily booksmart but you have to be able to challenge me. Stupid men bore me. I won't lie, looks are important.
