Pathways Elementary School Reviews

There a few nice things about this school - the fall festival, oldies dance, field trips, etc. that were outstanding. But, you have a Principal who acts like he doesn't even know you (even if he does), you have a few teachers who should not be teaching children, there is an after school program where the children are screamed at. There is way too much concern on the FCAT and upsetting the children, and not on the basics - which is what elementary school is all about.

This is my sons first year at Pathways. The school is great and Ms. Higgs is a wonderful, caring teacher. I spend alot of time in the classroom and she is great with the kids. I am very pleased that my son had Ms. Higgs for his first year of school. I look forward to meeting more of the teachers through out my sons years at Pathways.

I'd like to thank the teachers and staff would continually strive to improve our school. Participating in SAC helped me to understand everything that goes into running a school I can't think of any place I'd rather have my children.

I believe my child had a wonderful first year, last year.He had a wonderful teacher. My son loved to be there, and I just wanna say I'm thankful that there are teachers who really do care about the students, and how much they learn.Thank you pathways, for all your kindness, and support.

I am a working mother who volunteered when possible at this school. Unfortunately there are many parents that can't stay 100% involved but would like to. The teachers are wonderful and will make great efforts through letters, emails, phone calls, and meetings to keep these parents in tuned with their child's progress throughout the year. I thank the principal, teachers, and staff who care about our children's success.

The school has excellent potential; however, some of the teachers are awful & they ruin the school's reputation. The children & their families can & are willing to improve the school; the administration just needs to truly be more receptive to parental feedback & to not fear removing some of this staff ---a change for the better!

My daughter has received the best of care and education since becoming a student in Kindergarten and now anxiously awaiting 3rd grade to begin. I have a very strong belief that if something needs changed, you must participate.

Some of the teachers are not very in tune with children; the desire to encourage academic progress is not there. These teachers clearly do not love what they do for a living & it shows. The children feel this too. There is not much respect for parental feedback.

This is a wonderfull and exciting school. Ms. Higgs is the best teacher ever!

Wonderful school! my daughter and son go to pathways. My daughter has been there for 5 years and wouldn't even think of any other options for her schooling. My son is in his second year at pathways. The teachers are held in high regards and given the respect that they so much need and in return they give 110 % back to the children and thier families. My daughter excels at pathways being an 'a' student and a happy child who wants to go to school! thank you pathways!

My daughter just started kindergarden. We love the school and the teachers. We did have one incident where my I.D. was not checked upon picking up my child from school. This was rectified and hasn't happened again and I believe safety is the top priority at this school. Lots of activities and involvement exercises for parents and students. Teachers seem very interested in developing the children. Great school!
